This is an obligation piece I have great pleasure to stitch. A friend of mine saw this model on my PC the evening of her birthday (the one stitched by Vanessa from Mirabila BB) and she totally and utterly fell in love with it. She is no stitcher and looked at me with such a look that I agreed to stitch it for her if she bought the materials. So we ended up at 3 am choosing fabrics and doing conversions for metallics.
Getting the last PTB card was quite a pain (had to wait 4 months, yes 4 months!) for Sew and So to have it back in stock, me sending a monthly e-mail asking for news... So finally Ireceived the missing PRB card but was stitching another obligation piece at that time. And I finally started it on Monday (August 31st).I'm really taken by it and I see it grow very quickly. Plus the colors really show a LOT on it and they look lovely:-)

I began this project in a quite unexpected way.I received this chart for free from Mariska as I ordred several for american and australian stitcher. So.. I decided to stitch it on a Black 28 ct Jobelan, with "Bermuda Reef" silk from Caron Waterlilies and a little of "Silver Fox" from Gloriana. The result is quite stunning I must say... And I LOVE it :-) It's also my first sampler/quaker.

I liked the pattern I've chosen for this project and I joined as I thought it would be a great way to start my 1st HAED design. I must confess that the amount of colors needed for HAED project really scare me. I mean, this is a 90 and so different colors, and it's a small design....

Since I changed the fabric, from an ugly, rough, 14 count black Aida to a soft 28 count black Jobelan, I'm stitching it regularly, but it doesn't grow as quickly as I'd have liked it to.
